The program

Invitation to next NH Veterans Meeting in Copenhagen May 2019

Dear friends!

​

At our last successful meeting in Madrid, I promised to investigate the possibility for the next meeting could be in Copenhagen, as Kongskilde is now also in the NH/CNH family. Kongskilde, a Danish company, produces agricultural implements for soil treatment, seeding and grass harvesting. Under the Kongskilde umbrella you also have the old well-known brand, such as Överum, JF, Nordsten, Howard, Gyro, etc. Production are located in Sweden, Poland and US.

We are so far ahead in the planning of the meeting, that the time will be Tuesday and Wednesday, 28th and 29th of May 2019. Participants arrive by Monday 27th of May and return no earlier than Thursday, May 30th, which is a holiday in Denmark. The stay can be extended, in connection with hotel reservation.

Registration and hotel reservation We have made a group reservation at First Hotel Twentyseven, Loengangstræde 27, Copenhagen. The hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance of Copenhagen Central Station

 

• Please send your mail for registration and information with your name/s, and how many nights you want to stay on the hotel, to Erik Pallesen, p@llesen.eu, as soon as possible and no later than 15th January 2019. Our website (http://johanvdp.wixsite.com/nhsv) will be updated.

• Each guest has also before 15th January 2019 to book the hotel room direct to the hotel, by sending mail to: cph.cityres@firsthotels.dk with name of guest / guests and inform reference number: “Twentyseven // 324ERI270519” and payment card with card number and expiration date. Important: Payment on arrival and check in. Being prevented from participating, hotel reservation must be canceled within 60 days (27th March) before arrival date. Price for double room per night: DKK 1295 (€ approx 175). Price for single room per night: DKK 1195 (€ approx 160). Both prices are with breakfast.

• Should the stay be extended before or after the meeting, it must be stated at the time of booking.

Arrival to Copenhagen By plane to Copenhagen airport: It is recommended to buy a CityPass for train, metro and bus at the airport. It can be for 72 hours or 120 hours for respectively DKK 200 (€ 27) or DKK 300 (€ 40). CityPass can also be purchased online via the website: https://dinoffentligetransport.dk/citypass. From the airport take the train to the central railway station. The walking distance to the hotel is less than 1 km. See attached map.

 

By car: In Copenhagen it is quite expensive to park the car on the street or in central parking houses, up to 3-400 DKK (€ 40-50) per day. For those planning to drive by car, we have made a small guide for cheaper parking in Copenhagen. See attach document for more information “Cheap parking in Copenhagen”

 

Expected advance payment for the event At a later time, we will ask you to pay about € 170, which covers our expenses for bus, guides, entrances, harbor boat tours, social dinner etc. When we know the final participation, we will ask for the above deposit, depending on participants between 40 and 60 may the payment fluctuate between € 175 and down to € 160. Payment instructions will follow later - probably February/March 2019.

 

Welcome to Copenhagen and we hope to see many old colleagues. The travel agency Lonely Planet has just announced that the city is in the top because of its food and architecture.
