Perdu Daniel †

1/10/1927 - 30/06/2019

European Service manager

Belgium

Frans Moerman once started in the company in the year 1967, he knew Daniel very well and wrote the text below:

Daniel must have started in the early 1950s. That was the time that Louis Claeys was the boss in the Clayson factory before the New Holland period.

As a service manager, he was a very good boss who knew what he was saying because he was not afraid to put on an overall and get his hands dirty. He was then part of the triumvirate with Phillippe De Leotard, service manager in France and Frank Bisschops, the service manager in UK who worked very well together.

De Leotard had a secretary with the surname Trouvé. So if Daniel wanted to phone with Phillippe and he had the secretary on the line, the conversation started with: "Bonjour Mademoiselle Trouvé c'est ici Monsieur Perdu"He was service manager until 1980.

After that he worked in production for a while, but I don't know what job that was.

Once he was retired, he was our guide in the factory in Zedelgem. He has always lived at the factory across the entrance to Trevieren.

He also traveled a lot because good contact with the distributors was very important to him.

I personally remember him as a jovial person who did everything he could to motivate his service people, to inform them in such a way that a very pleasant working atmosphere was always ensured.

The annual service celebration / reunion was a nice event that he organized in 1968. He was also an important person of the "CIK" de Clayson Ingenieurs Kring.
